Australian Business Visa
Business owners, senior executives and investors interested in immigration
to Australia may lodge an Australian business visa application.
A business visa for Australian immigration is particularly suitable for
those with a proven record of successful business and/or investment
activity, and who are keen to apply their skills in Australia.
Business Visa Categories A business skills Australian visa can fall into one of several categories,
each with its own requirements for eligibility. These include:
Provisional Visa In most cases, applicants will initially be granted a temporary provisional
visa which will be valid for four years.
During the four year period, business skills migrants may lodge a permanent Australian visa
application if their level of business activities meet eligibility requirements.
Under specific conditions, applicants with exceptional business acumen
may be identified as high calibre business
migrants who will be granted direct Australian permanent visas under the Business
Talent visa category if sponsored by a State or Territory.
State and Territory Sponsorship Each business skills Australian visa category may also be government sponsored
to attract migrants who can establish businesses in a particular state or territory.
This will apply primarily to regional, rural or low growth areas of Australia
where it is hoped that new businesses can stimulate economic development and growth.
Obligations Business visa applicants must be substantial owners and participate
in the management of a business in Australia that contributes to the Australian economy either by:
- business links with international markets,
- generating employment opportunities in Australia,
- export of Australian goods and services,
- production of previously imported goods and services,
